Intro
Stella Alonso: introverted, ambitious, cheerful, dedicated to her job of being an assistant at a fashion company, running a fashion blog but has secretly dreamed of being her own fashion designer, and a huge hopeless romantic but never believes she will one day find love. Christian Harper: charming on the outside, deadly powerful on the inside but with a handsome disguise, CEO of the billion dollar company Harper Security, dangerously controlling, and has never believed in love.
Stella works tirelessly to make her fashion dreams come true and to live up to the impossible expectations of her perfectionist family who only care about success. She is beyond thrilled when she gets an offer to attend an interview dinner from her dream fashion brand, Delamonte. When she gets fired from her longtime job at DC Style, she is desperately struggling, especially since that money was helping her pay for her childhood babysitter Maura’s care. When she is talking to her manager Brady and complaining how all everyone seems to care about these days is influencer relationships, Brady suggests that she should get a fake boyfriend. He knows that people would be more interested to see that, especially since everyone who knows Stella knows that she doesn’t date. Stella’s couple content would help peak the interest of Delamonte and finally get her a million Instagram followers.
When Stella suddenly finds herself admitting to Christian that she needs a fake boyfriend, he surprises her by saying he needs someone to be his date for all of his work dinners and events. If Stella agrees to be his date, he will pay for Maura’s care in full. Stella immediately refuses, saying the offer is too much, so Christian changes the deal: she acts as his date to events and he will be her fake boyfriend, under the condition that she cannot show his face on social media to protect Christian’s online profile and increase the intrigue. The two of them agree and make a contract: 1. Physical contact is only allowed when necessary, 2. The arrangement has to be mutual, so if one of them wants to end it, they have to as it won’t be beneficial anymore. The final rule: absolutely no falling in love. But isn’t everything that’s fake is always a bigger part of something real?

STELLA ASKS WHY IS HE DOING THIS WHEN HE GIVES HER THE WATCH BC THEIR ARRANGEMENT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FAKE BUT HE SAYS THAT SHES ALL HE CAN EVER THINK ABOUT NO MATTER WHAT HES DOING AND THE THOUGHT OF HER HURT AND UPSET MAKES HIM WANT TO RAZE THE CITY TO THE GROUND AND HE SAYS HES NEVER WANTED ANYONE MORE AND HE HATES HIMSELF FOR IT AND THEN HE JUST LEAVES AND SLAMS THE DOOR SHUT

when Christian and Stella are at dinner and Stella’s sister outs that she was fired from DC Style and her mom explodes and asks where all her savings went and Stella says they went to Maura her caretaker who was a better mom then Stella’s own mother ever was and her dad tells her to apologize but Christian stands up for Stella and says she is the most brilliant person he has ever met and her dad should not attack her instead of listening to her passions and her dad says that Christian needs to stop since this is a family matter and he will never be family and then Stella defends christian and her dad KICKS HER OUT OF THE HOUSE
i hate how her parents are so mean and judgmental and they only care about their own pride and success rather than the happiness of their children
when Stella is cleaning Christian’s office and finds his secret drawer with a whole entire file on her and all her background information and every possible detail about her life which is a HUGE invasion of privacy and NOT OK to have information on not only her but all her friends and family my mouth dropped open in shock this is a massive betrayal after he had acted so sweet to her and like he cared about her and done everything for her and she thought that he truly loved het
when Christian tells Stella about the first time he saw her 5 years ago when she got robbed and the turquoise ring that was always in his pocket was the one that slipped off her finger and he kept it this whole time and he apologizes and says they can move on but she says they can never move on and she will move out of his apartment and she needs him to go and asks him to leave her alone
STELLA SAYS THAT CHRISTIAN WAS THE ONLY SAFE SPACE SHE HAD AND NOW HE IS GONE
Who else would like this
PEOPLE WHO LOVE MORALLY GRAY MEN AND MEN WHO DON’T HAVE ENOUGH POSSIBLE LONGING TO BE FIT IN THE WHOLE BOOK FOR THEIR WOMAN
Rating: 100000/10 This is the best book I’ve ever read and DEFINETLY the best book in the Twisted Series. I am obsessed with Ana Huang’s writing and I couldn’t get enough of Stella and Christian’s ENDLESS slow burn romance. Even though it took over 30 chapters for that tension we’ve been seeing the whole book to finally show through, every single page up to that was worth it and the ending is so incredibly sweet I was crying. The whole progression of Stella and Christian’s entire relationship throughout the book is absolute amazing and I could not put it down. I read it on the way to a concert, and I spent the next day reading over 200 pages and didn’t come out of my room until I finished the book. This is truly the best series I have ever read, and I would recommend this to anyone who loves the enemies to lovers trope with smaller tropes mixed into each book.
