After only listening to the soundtrack for a month straight, I finally saw Heathers! I have been nonstop obsessed with this musical and have seen the movie twice. I love the intensity of the romance betweeen Veronica and JD and how when Veronica realizes who JD truly is, she stands up for herself and doesn't just follow his lead because he is her boyfriend. Seventeen makes me cry every time I listen to it, and Isabella Esler did such an amazing job at portraying Veronica's internal battle of hating what JD is making her do, but realizes that even though he is a bad person she still wants to be with him. Zan Berube, Elizabeth Teeter, and Jackera Davis were so captivating to watch as the Heathers, and projected their mean attitudes while still being comedic, and Zan Berube brought such convincing Heather Chandler energy. John Cardoza was such a convincing villain as JD, and I couldn't believe that Erin Morton, who plays Martha, is in college! It was so fun to watch Lisa Ann Walter on stage and not surprising that she made Ms. Fleming so funny since she brought so much comedic energy into Chessy in The Parent Trap. I am obsessed with this movie and musical and would see both a thousand more times!
