Intro

Shadow Me follows Kenji’s perspective as he assists Warner with daily responsibilities since Juliette is nowhere to be seen, which is very obvious on Warner’s face even though he refuses to talk about the breakup, but Kenji knows he’s not doing well. Even so, Warner has to be strong and Kenji helps him navigate meetings, especially when kids of the Supreme Commanders of Africa and South America, and Juliette, show up and no one knows what is happening. But Kenji also has his own secret: confusing but intriguing tension with Nazeera has him overthinking everything, and when she says she needs to tell him a secret, he needs to learn more. But when that secret is revealed during all the chaos of the symposium and while Nazeera tries to help Kenji, he has absolutely no idea what is going on with Juliette and is determined to find out.

The Bad

NOOOO KENJI TOLD NAZEERA HE MIGHT BE IN LOVE WITH HER AND THEN JUST WALKED AWAY

WHAT CASTLE HAD A WIFE OR GIRLFRIEND NAMED NOURIA FROM SECTOR 241 AND THEIR SONS WERE MURDERED AND SOMETHING ABOUT HER DIRECTLY CORRESPONDS WITH THE GUY WHO SHOT JULIETTE THAT NAZEERA KILLED

Shatter Me fans who are interested in seeing Kenji's side of the story.

5/10 I was expecting more from this book and I thought it would be Kenji's perspective after the symposium and Juliette had already left and he would be dealing with the aftermath. Instead, almost all of the book just included his perspective on things that we had already seen from Restore Me, so the only new thing was his interaction with Nazeera, which was interesting but I wasn't really surprised since her rejection of him a few books before wasn't a major plot point. However, I liked the part where he said he believed he could have the capacity to love someone and he just wants to find someone like everyone else has because I relate to that.
