Intro
Having escaped from Amanthara Under The Mountain, Feyre is back at the Spring Court and engaged to Tamlin. But she soon realizes that he doesn’t treat her as well as he used to. At their wedding, just as she realizes she wants to refuse him, Rhys shows up and takes her to the Night Court, where she realizes she doesn’t want to be with him. When she gets back Tamlin locks her inside the house and she begs Rhys to take her away. At the Night Court, amongst threats of battle and war, Feyre and Rhys spend a lot more time together with Rhys protecting Feyre and making her feel seen. They start to grow closer and Feyre starts developing feelings that make her wonder why she was ever with Tamlin.

The Bad
Tamlin isn't doing anything when Feyre is throwing up all night from her trauma doesn't he care that she went through all of this for him and he isn't waking up but he would probably hear the sounds so he just doesn't care but as a loving boyfriend he should be supporting her through this especially since she sacrificed her entire life just to save him and when she talked to him about it he just ignored her
Tamlin doesn't care about anything Feyre wants he isn't letting her go to the village because he wants to keep her safe he's restricting her from her passions
He says it matters if something happens to her because the people in the village look up to her but he should also be caring about the people in the village instead of just Feyre
Feyre should just break up with Tamlin she doesn't even care about the color of flowers for her own wedding and tells Ianthe to pick
Feyre gave her jewels to a water-wraith in kindness for not being able to pay the Tithe and Tamlin got mad because those were jewlers he gave her and she was messing up his laws but he's so inconsiderate and doesn't even care that she was once starving and had no food
Tamlin and Feyre have such a toxic relationship they argue all the time but then they apologize and sleep together which doesn't fix the problem so they should just break up they're clearly not right for each other
Feyre tells Tamlin she wants to break up with him and he gets mad and shatters the whole study but then he starts apologizing and hugging her why can't he just accept that it's his fault and let it goo the relationship needs to end
Feyre wants to help fight and Tamlin says no and she argues with him and he LOCKS HER INSIDE THE HOUSE why is he so posessive of her he needs to find other ways to ensure her safety without restricting her freedom

Rating
8.5/10 The way Tamlin treated Feyre in the beginning was despicable. I was shocked at how in the first book he was loving and at the start of this book he was so posessive and controlling. I loved the slow burn and gradual buildup of Feyre and Rhys’ relationship progression of the book (slow burn is in understatement- confessing to each other 470 pages in is insane). There was so much power and emotion and care in Rhys’ backstory that ends with him telling Feyre he loves her. I hated when she told the king to break the bond to save him that was the saddest moment in the whole book for me and I can’t wait to see what happens in the third book now that she is a spy for the Night Court and living in the Spring Court with Tamlin.
