Intro
Alessandra Davenport is in a failing marraige. Her husband Dominic cares more about his work than her, and she's tired of doing everything to make him happy but nothing for herself. Even though they met in college, she forces herself to realize the man she married is now a stranger. When Dominic misses their ten year anniversary, Alessandra decides she's had enough, but Dominic realizes his mistake and tries to do everything he can to win Alessandra back.

7.5/10 I had mixed feelings about Dominic, but by the end of the book i could see and appreciate all the effort he put into winning Alessandra back and his commitment to their relationship definetly deserved a second chance even though I wasn't entirely convinced at first. Dominic and Alessandra are proof that sometimes relationships can feel horrible and just need to end, no matter how hard you try to get someone back, but also proof that sometimes it does work if you make a relationship the absolute priority.
I just read about King of Greed in the Kings of Sin series and how this third book dives deeper into drama, betrayal, and the dark side of power while still giving characters room to grow. It made me think of when I was swamped with school and needed online nursing class help because I had so much to juggle at once. Getting a little support helped me enjoy reading again and stay sane.
